Fifth in a series of photomanips using the same shot for all 7. The purpose of this series was for me to experiment with filters and color alterations that could be made to a photo. As none of this series has very major manipulations done to them, I did not think it fitting to submit them to the photomanipulation category.
*Edit: I deleted the other variations while cleaning out my gallery.

I am sorry to say that this is not the first time I have seen this concept or some variant. That doesn't mean it is not a good subject but I think you could benefit in keep the rule of 2/3 in mind as well as the golden triangle to make your compositions stronger. I use the Golden Triangle rule which was used by the masters of the renaissance and which in part I judge a pictures composition by, as well as contrast, color use and over all creativity. The rule follows that you have 3 parts, figures, objects, or elements that create more or less a right or isometric triangle. It is a little bit like playing connect the dot with an imaginary line and the parts of the picture being the dots, no actual line is drawn. This triangle can be repeated many time over and over again for increasing complex pictures but with a strong composition. Other triangles can be used but cause a weaker composition.
OK, first off this rule is also known as the golden rule or the golden triangle. So lets use this [link] and this [link] picture of mine to illustrate. To start off first take a look at the position of the heads and hands in both pictures. You will notice that they form a link to each other in the form of an imaginary triangle, what this does is create balance for the eye. However using elements just from one figure isnt always the answer but by using other objects that have some kind of strong element for the picture can be used in this way as well. Details of an object or a person can also create balance in this like in the human face where the eyes, nose, mouth and ears create all sorts of triangles. The stronger mathematically correct a triangle is (like Right and Isosceles triangles) the stronger the composition but close enough works just as well.

Even tough the concept isn't that original, I think it's a beautiful concept. I think this is because I love and roses and pianos so yeah.
The colours of the rose is very beautiful, it's so deep and pure I like it a lot. What I don't like all that much, is how the colour white of the piano comes out. I think it's too light. I think it would be better if you'd make that colour a bit darker, so that you can see that there are different tunes and stuff. What I also think is a bit of a shame, is that the photo is so blury. It's not all to clear. I think if you'd make it more clear, you'd get a better and more beautiful effect.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community.
